04/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – The EU will transpose into EU law the sanctions adopted by the UN Security Council on 5 October against Mali. On Friday 4 November, the Ambassadors of the Member States to the EU (Coreper) approved the EU Council Implementing Decision 2017 [(CFSP) 2017/1775] on restrictive measures - travel ban and freezing of funds and economic resources of certain persons designated by the UN Security Council. The aim is to update the information on three people who have already been sanctioned. The implementing decision and the EU Council Regulation will be adopted without debate on Tuesday 8 November, in the margins of the EU Ecofin Council meeting. (AN)
