24/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday, 24 October, the European Commission launched the EU Supervisory Digital Finance Academy (EU-SDFA) project, which aims to help financial supervisors to seize opportunities and address the risks associated with the use of advanced technologies in the financial sector. Funded by the European Technical Support Instrument for reforms, this project should improve the stability of the digital financial sector and increase consumer protection. EU-SDFA will be the first cross-sectoral EU-wide academy for financial sector supervisory authorities. It will include 26 national financial supervisory authorities from 20 Member States that have requested the European Commission’s support. The project will be implemented through three-year training programmes, exchanges of best practice and thematic workshops, that will allow participants to acquire new skills and tools. (AD)
