12/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has launched, until 9 November, a call for expressions of interest to become a member of the Platform on Sustainable Finance, an expert advisory body of which the mandate is to be renewed after a controversial initial experience (see EUROPE 13023/21). The future platform, which will be operational for 2 years from January 2023, will operate in a context where markets have started to apply the EU taxonomy, and will provide advice on how to implement the EU strategy for finance to support the transition to a sustainable economy, according to a statement issued by the Commission on Wednesday 12 October. It will be composed of 35 experts, 28 of whom will be selected through this call for expressions of interest from experts from civil society, private companies or the academic world.
