12/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 12 October, the European Commission approved €10 million in Slovak aid to support agricultural product processors and the food production sector in the context of Russia’s war on Ukraine. The scheme was approved under the state aid temporary crisis framework adopted by the Commission in March and amended in July. The measure is open to companies of all sizes active in the agricultural product processing and/or food production sectors. Eligible beneficiaries may receive limited amounts of aid in the form of direct grants. The aid, which will not exceed €500,000 per beneficiary and will be granted no later than 31 December 2022, is deemed to comply with the conditions laid down. (LC)
