EU calls on Pyongyang to halt ballistic missile launches

03/10/2022 (Agence Europe)North Korea’s repeated ballistic missile launches “constitute flagrant violations of UN Security Council resolutions and threaten regional and international peace and security”, said European External Action Service (EEAS) spokeswoman Nabila Massrali on Monday 3 October. Pyongyang has conducted four ballistic missile tests in the past week. The United States and South Korea fear that Pyongyang will conduct a nuclear test soon. “The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea’s official name) must cease missile launches, refrain from a nuclear test and respond constructively to the readiness for dialogue expressed by the United States, the Republic of Korea and other members of the international community”, the EEAS said.
