08/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 8 July, the European Commission launched a call for projects to support the production of information content for young Europeans. This call for projects - the third after two pilot calls in 2020 and 2021 - has a budget of €9 million and is seeking projects from consortia of journalists involving “at least five organisations from at least five EU Member States”. Through this call for projects, the Commission intends to focus on cross-border journalism and “empower young Europeans to compare perspectives from across Europe, engage them through attractive content with multiple viewpoints in different European languages and increase democratic participation”.
