Matthew Baldwin, new Deputy Director-General of Department of Energy

The European Commission decided on Wednesday 25 May to transfer Matthew Baldwin, currently Deputy Director-General in the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), to the function of Deputy Director-General in the Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER).

In particular, Mr Baldwin will oversee the work of the new ‘Energy Platform Task Force (EPTF)’ (the EU’s common energy procurement platform). The date of effect of this appointment will be determined later. Matthew...
