European Commission consults on changes to emission monitoring and reporting rules

16/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – On 14 December the European Commission launched a public consultation on a draft implementing act to amend Article 38 of the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2066 concerning the time limit for the application of certain rules on the monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions. The aim, according to the Commission, is to “ensure a robust, efficient and harmonised implementation of the provisions”. The public consultation is open until 11 January 2022.
