European Commission gives green light to Finnish Recovery Plan

04/10/2021 (Agence Europe)On Monday 4 October, the European Commission approved the Finnish Recovery Plan for €2.1 billion, solely in the form of grants, as part of the Next Generation EU Recovery Plan. This plan will devote 50% to the ecological transition and 27% to the digital transition, noted President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, during a visit to Helsinki. The Finnish Prime Minister, Sanna Marin, stressed the importance of investing in the future, including the construction of a quantum computer. The European Recovery Plan is not just another fiscal stimulus, but a way to fix and rethink the economy by making it greener and fairer, she added. The European Commission has so far approved 21 National Recovery Plans. For more information on the Finnish plan visit: https://bit.ly/3l8Kv9J (MB)
