14/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – Ministers for Employment and Social Affairs adopted conclusions on Monday 14 June confirming the EU Council’s support for the new European strategy for the rights of persons with disabilities (see EUROPE 12670/4). These conclusions, detailed in our article at the time of their approval by the ambassadors of the Member States (see EUROPE 12732/25), call on the EU-27 to ensure better inclusion of people with disabilities and to guarantee the respect of their rights, particularly in terms of free movement, employment and housing. The European Commissioner for Equality, Helena Dalli, welcomed the adoption of the conclusions and called on Member States to fulfil their commitments.
