12/05/2021 (Agence Europe) – MEP Zdzisław Krasnodębski (ECR, Poland) proposed to the European Parliament’s political groups a first draft of compromise amendments relating to the revision of the EU Regulation (347/2013) on Trans-European Energy Networks (TEN-E), in view of a meeting with the shadow rapporteurs on this file (see EUROPE 12640/32) on 21 May. These provisional compromise amendments, obtained by EUROPE, only concern articles 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and Annex VI of the revision proposal (see EUROPE 12623/3), thus leaving aside for the time being the definition of criteria for projects of common interest (PCIs) and projects of mutual interest (PMIs) (article 4). In order to build compromise amendments on this point - particularly divisive due to the issue of gas-related projects (see EUROPE 12686/26) - a first technical exchange of views on the general criteria for PCIs and PMIs is scheduled for 18 May.
