31/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 31 March, the European Commission proposed financial support of €4.5 million (out of a total financial effort of €7.5 million) to support more than 5,000 employed and self-employed workers in the tourism sector in Estonia in the context of the pandemic under the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF). This is a first response to a social crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. Objective: to co-finance counselling activities for job search or apprenticeships, or assistance in setting up a business. It is now up to the European Parliament and the Council to approve the Commission’s proposal. (PH)
