GUE/NGL group in European Parliament rewards Chelsea Manning, Correctiv organisation, and whistleblowers in Novartis scandal in Greece

14/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – The GUE/NGL group in the European Parliament announced on Wednesday 14 October the three winners of the 2020 edition of its European Whistleblowers and Right to Information Prize, who are: - Chelsea Manning, the former U.S. Army analyst who exposed human rights abuses; - the German organisation Correctiv, which contributed to the uncovering of the ‘CumEx’ financial scandal (see EUROPE 12567/5); - the whistleblowers who revealed the corrupt practices of pharmaceutical giant Novartis vis-à-vis the medical profession and politicians in Greece.
