12/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, said on Monday 12 October that an agreement between Serbia and Kosovo was possible in the next few months. At the end of the Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg, he said: “Personally, I strongly believe that reaching the final agreement is a matter of months, not years, away, provided that the parties engage constructively”. “We don’t want to speed up the process artificially, but we also don’t want to take too long. There are agreements to be implemented and others to be sought”, he added. Borrell stated that, at the Council meeting, ministers had expressed their full support for the work of Miroslav Lajčák, the EU Special Representative for the Dialogue. (CG)
