#ForestBiodiversity, a new platform on sustainable forest management

12/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – “Listen to EU forest stewards, understand their actions on the ground, learn from their experience, and go beyond the clichés!”. This is the main message of the new awareness campaign, #ForestBiodiversity, which was launched in Brussels on Monday 12 October by six associations representing the forest-based sector. The organisations (Cepi, Copa-Cogeca, the Confederation of European Forest Owners, CEI-Bois, EUSTAFOR and ELO) give a voice to forest owners and managers through a series of videos available on the dedicated forestbiodiversity.eu platform. The interviews in the videos show very practically that the concept of “sustainable forest management” pays close attention to maintaining biodiversity and adapting to climate change, both of which are essential if forests are to be managed properly.
