15/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – MEPs on the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) approved on Tuesday 14 July, by 47 votes to one with one abstention, the provisional agreement on the legislative proposal to facilitate the completion of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T). This provisional agreement, concluded between the co-legislators at the beginning of June (see EUROPE 12502/1), has yet to be formally adopted by the plenary and the EU Council. It provides for the text to take the form of a directive that would apply to projects forming part of pre-identified sections of the TEN-T core network as well as to other projects located on the core network corridors whose total cost exceeds EUR 300 million.
