15/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – The ‘EU Whistleblowing Meter’ website, a tool created by Whistleblowing International Network to monitor the progress of the transposition of Directive 2019/1937 on the protection of whistleblowers, showed, on Wednesday 15 July, that only nine Member States (Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands) have started work to prepare the transposition of the Directive. The other 18 Member States have still not done anything, according to the site. As a reminder, the deadline for transposing the Directive was set at 17 December 2021 (see EUROPE 12212/11). (PH)
