03/06/2020 (Agence Europe) – The presentation by the European Commission of the Implementation and Review Report on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is being postponed yet again. First announced for June 3, then postponed to June 10, the report is now postponed to June 24, according to a new provisional agenda for the meetings of the College of Commissioners (see EUROPE 12481/14). According to the roadmap published at the beginning of April, this exercise, provided for under Article 97 of the Regulation, aims to identify weaknesses in the GDPR. It focuses in particular on the issue of international transfer of personal data to third countries (Chapter V of the GDPR) - with particular emphasis on existing adequacy decisions - and on the mechanism for cooperation and consistency between national data protection authorities (Chapter VII of the GDPR) (see EUROPE 12459/24).
