14/02/2020 (Agence Europe) – Wealth creation was 1.2% and 1.4% of GDP in the euro area and the European Union of Twenty-Seven, respectively, said the EU's statistics office (Eurostat) on Friday 14 February, confirming figures put forward the day before by the Commission in its winter economic forecasts (see EUROPE 12425/5). For the 21 countries for which data are available, growth was highest in Romania (1.5%), Lithuania (1.3%) and Bulgaria (0.7%). It was negative in Italy (-0.3%) and France (-0.1%), and zero in Germany. (MB)
