11/02/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission approved, on Tuesday 11 February, the acquisition of joint control of Roof Media (France) - currently already jointly controlled by La Voix du Nord (belonging to the Belgium-based Rossel & Cie group) and Mediacontact (belonging to the French group SIPA) - by the Société d'Investissements Medias ('SIM'), belonging to the French group Crédit Mutuel. The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise competition concerns given Roof Media's minimal activities in the European Economic Area and its very limited impact on the market structure. Roof Media specialises in video content delivery technology. La Voix du Nord and Mediacontact are press groups. SIM represents the commercial brand 'EBRA' (Est Bourgogne Rhône Alpes), which is a media division of the Crédit Mutuel group, itself active in the press sector. (LC)
