12/11/2019 (Agence Europe) – The EEAS spokesperson called on 10 November on “all relevant actors to exercise the utmost restraint and refrain from any measures or statements that could aggravate the situation” along the administrative border of secessionist South Ossetia in Georgia. She described the growing tensions along this administrative border, as well as false declarations, as “totally unacceptable”. Rumours have reportedly included shooting at a village near the administrative border. According to the spokesperson, the mechanisms put in place to prevent incidents and find solutions should be used systematically. She also requested that actions and statements aimed at preventing the work of the EU Monitoring Mission and restricting its mandate should cease. (CG)
