Germany and France coordinate to consolidate European Union's fiscal and economic foundation

At the 50th Franco-German Economic and Financial Council, held in Paris on Thursday 19 September, France and Germany agreed to make progress on various issues in order to consolidate and improve the European Union's budgetary foundations, in particular for the euro area, and to strengthen Europe's presence in strategic economic sectors, namely batteries and artificial intelligence.
