European Parliament overwhelmingly adopts its resolution on importance of European remembrance

Remembering the EU’s past to build its future: this is the whole message of the resolution on the importance of European remembrance adopted by the European Parliament on Thursday 19 September in Strasbourg, with 535 votes in favour, 66 against and 52 abstentions.

As announced on Wednesday 18 September, the EPP, S&D, RE and ECR groups agreed on a joint resolution (see EUROPE B12330A3), joined by the Greens/EFA group later in the evening.
