Klaus Regling in favour of early repayment of an IMF loan

Klaus Regling, the Managing Director of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), was enthusiastic about the Greek authorities' early repayment of a loan to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the press conference following the Eurogroup meeting in Helsinki on Friday 13 September. 

"I would welcome an early repayment [of Greek debt], because it would improve the sustainability of Greece", he said.
