Commission able to negotiate new EU/Senegal agreement

11/07/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 11 July EU ambassadors approved a proposal authorising the European Commission to negotiate a new partnership agreement in the field of sustainable fisheries between the EU and Senegal. This decision has yet to be formally adopted by the EU Council next week. The current five-year Protocol entered into force on 20 November 2014 and will expire on 19 November 2019.
