11/07/2019 (Agence Europe) – Member States' ambassadors to the European Union appointed three new judges to the European Court of Justice on Wednesday 10 July. From October 2019 to October 2024, the Swede Nils Wahl will replace his compatriot Carl Gustav Fernlund at the EU Court of Justice, following his resignation. Italy's Roberto Mastroianni and his compatriot Ornella Porchia have been appointed judges at the General Court. Their term of office will run from September 2019 to the end of August 2025. These appointments are part of the partial renewal of the General Court’s membership, with the terms of office of 23 judges expiring at the end of August 2019. (MB)
