13/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The leaders of the four Visegrad Group countries, Hungary's Viktor Orbán, Slovakia's Peter Pelligrini, Poland's Mateusz Morawiecki and Czech Republic's Andrej Babis, meeting in Budapest on Thursday 13 June, agreed on common priorities to be presented to their European counterparts at the European Summit on 20 June, which will decide the issue of appointments to senior European posts. They did not choose a common candidate for one of the top jobs, said Andrej Babis of the Czech Republic, quoted by Reuters, but agreed to highlight the issues that they believe the future Commission should address as a priority and discussed how their bloc can influence and be heard in the decisions of the Twenty-seven.
