18/04/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Liaison Committee for the Construction of Automotive Equipment and Parts (CLEPA) welcomed the vote on Tuesday 16 April in support of the political agreement reached between the European Parliament and the EU Council on the Regulation on General Motor Vehicle Safety (see EUROPE 12237/12). For the organisation, this is “excellent news”. “After essential technologies such as seatbelts and airbags, the GSR (General Safety Regulation) will represent the next big leap, with solutions that help avoiding accidents in the first place”, said Sigrid de Vries, CLEPA's Secretary General.
