15/04/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Deputy Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Katarina Mathernova, welcomed on Friday 12 April the appointment of 38 judges to the Ukrainian High Anti-Corruption Court the day before. “Welcome news from Ukraine - 38 judges have been appointed to the new High Anti-Corruption Court of First Instance and an Appeal Chamber. This is a key step in the crucial fight against corruption. Bravo!!!!”, she exclaimed in a tweet. On 11 April, the Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko, appointed 38 judges, 22 of whom were already appointed previously, as well as former lawyers and scientists.
