Half of chemicals assessed under REACH are used under unsafe conditions, warns EEB

Almost half of the chemicals assessed under REACH are not safe for their current commercial use, and for two thirds of hazardous substances, no controls are carried out, according to a study published by the European Environment Bureau (EEB) on Tuesday 2 April. This study is based on official reports from national authorities.
