Commission approves a new protected designation of origin for Bulgaria

2/04/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Tuesday 2 April that it had approved the application to enter Bulgarian 'Strandzhanski manov med’ honey into the Community Register of Protected Designations of Origin (PDO). ‘Strandzhanski manov med', also known as 'Manov med ot Strandzha', is a dark brown honey produced in the Strandzha massif in southeastern Bulgaria.
