Green light from Member States to European Parliament/Council agreement on measures to facilitate road transport in event of no-deal Brexit

01/03/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Friday, 1 March, the Member States' ambassadors to the European Union (Permanent Representatives Committee - Coreper) approved the interinstitutional agreement reached on Tuesday 26 February between representatives of the European Parliament and the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU on measures that could be taken at European Union level in road transport to counter certain consequences of a potential exit from the United Kingdom from the EU (Brexit) without a deal (see EUROPE 12202). The agreement must now be formally approved by the Council of the EU and the European Parliament. (LT)
