Welcoming the appeals of the cities of Paris, Brussels and Madrid (see EUROPE 11549), the European Union General Court annulled the provisions of Regulation 2016/646 setting the not-to-exceed emission limits for oxides of nitrogen when testing light passenger and commercial vehicles under real driving conditions ('Real Driving Emissions tests'), in a judgement delivered on Thursday 13 December (joined cases T-339, 352 and 391/16).
