European Parliament calls for action to protect 2019 European elections from foreign interference

After foreign interference in the 2016 US presidential elections or the Brexit referendum, the European Parliament is well aware that the May 2019 European elections will probably not be spared. With seven months to go before this crucial deadline, members want to be ready. 

On Wednesday 14 November in Strasbourg, MEPs discussed ways to strengthen the EU's resilience to foreign interference in elections. The subject was put on the agenda at the request of the EPP Group.
