24/10/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 24 October, the Member States' ambassadors to the European Union ('Committee of Permanent Representatives' - Coreper) approved the inter-institutional agreement reached by the Austrian Presidency of the Council and the representatives of the European Parliament on 17 October on the revision of Regulation 1008/2008 on the leasing by European airlines of aircraft with crew to third companies (see EUROPE 12120). As a reminder, the revision of this Regulation is limited to bringing EU standards into line with its international obligations, namely the EU/US aviation agreement. This is due to the Commission's possible future proposal for a general revision of the Regulation (see EUROPE 11983). (LT)
