On Monday 15 October, the European Commission announced an agreement aimed at renewing the current Sustainable Fishing Partnership Agreement protocol between the EU and Cape Verde (see EUROPE 12033). The current protocol is to expire at the end of this year.
The outcome of the negotiations is a “balanced deal, profitable to both parties”, the Commission is pleased to state in a press release.
