Determination of paid annual leave excludes period of parental leave, according to Court

The period of parental leave from which a worker has benefited cannot be regarded as a period of actual work for the purpose of determining entitlement to paid annual leave, the European Court of Justice ruled in a judgment delivered on Thursday 4 October (Case C-12/17).
