Finalisation of legal assessment of EU-Vietnam free trade agreement and talks on investment agreement

On Monday 25 June, European Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström and Vietnam's Trade and Industry Minister Trần Tuấn Anh agreed on a final text for the EU-Vietnam free trade agreement, thus formally concluding the legal scrubbing of the document.  They also concluded discussions on a separate agreement on investment protection.

The Commission will now translate the trade agreement text into the other 22 EU official languages and launch the legal review of the investment protection...
