MEPs ask EU to do more to resolve Israel-Palestine conflict via creation of two states

Violence from Hamas, a disproportionate response from Israel to the demonstrations in Gaza, the transfer of the US embassy to Jerusalem... during their plenary debate MEPs spoke out against the latest developments in the Middle East and said the EU should invest more in the peace process.

Speaking on behalf of the Greens/EFA Group, Hilde Vautmans (ALDE, Belgium) said "the USA no longer plays a determining role".  "The EU must make a stand more clearly (....)  Our diplomatic efforts need...
