29/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 29 May, the ambassadors of the 28 member states agreed to extend EU restrictive measures for one year in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. According to a European source, extension of the sanctions could be officially adopted by the Agriculture Council on 18-19 June. Among other things, the measures concern the ban on imports into the EU of goods from Crimea and Sevastopol, on investment in those territories, and on the provision of services linked to tourist activity, as well as on the sale of certain goods or technologies to businesses in Crimea or for use in Crimea in the transport, telecommunications and energy sectors, or linked to oil, gas and mining, exploration and production. Restrictive measures will run until 23 June 2018. (CG)
