26/02/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 26 February, the European Commission published the non-confidential version of its final decision concluding that Luxembourg had awarded unlawful state aid to Amazon in the form of a favourable tax scheme, dated 4 October of last year (see EUROPE 11976). In this case, the US company was ordered to repay €250 million to the Grand Duchy. As the Luxembourg authorities do not share the Commission's opinion, they decided on 15 December of last year to appeal for the cancellation of the measure before the General Court of the European Union (see EUROPE 11927).
