EU looks at ways of remedying current shortcomings of multilateral trade system governed by WTO

The future of the multilateral trading system, negotiations at the WTO, free-trade talks underway between the EU and third countries (Mercosur and Mexico in particular) and the filtering of foreign investments into strategic European sectors was central to the agenda of an informal meeting of EU trade ministers, in Sofia on Tuesday 27 February.
