Political agreement at Council to sanction seven Venezuelan leaders

On Thursday 18 January, the ambassadors of the 28-member states to the EU (Coreper) reached an agreement on sanctions against seven Venezuelan leaders, a European source told EUROPE.  The sanctions involve an assets freeze and a ban on travelling.
