Commission appoints Joëlle Milquet as special Adviser for Compensation of Victims of Crime

04/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 4 October, the former Home Secretary, Joëlle Milquet, was appointed Special Adviser for the compensation of victims of crime, including terrorism. In a press release, the Commission points out that compensation for victims is often hindered by the complexity and diversity of the national compensation schemes, across member states.
