European Parliament approves agreement establishing EU-LAC Foundation as international organisation

04/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 4 October, the European Parliament approved the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union, of the agreement to give the European Union-Latin America and Caribbean Foundation (EU-LAC Foundation), the status of international organisation.  Based in Hamburg since 2011, the EU-LAC Foundation aims to create links between the two regional groups' civil societies, especially by the organisation of events, financing of programmes and development of specialised studies.  (MB)
