Commission complies with General Court's verdict and registers ECI's Stop-TTIP initiative 

On Tuesday 4 July, the European Commission decided to register a European Citizens' Initiative (ECI), the 'Stop TTIP' Initiative"’ inviting the Commission to recommend to the Council to repeal the negotiating mandate for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and not to conclude the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU and Canada.
