Commission launches roadmap on road infrastructure and tunnel safety

14/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 13 June, the European Commission launched an initial impact study on the safety of road infrastructure and tunnels, in view of proposing a directive on these issues. The aim of this roadmap is to clarify legislation and improve the safety of road infrastructure and tunnels in the Union, which could be done by way of setting minimum safety standards on the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
