In Luxembourg on Thursday 8 June, the Justice ministers of 20 member states reached a political agreement (‘general approach’) that will make it possible to launch the European Public Prosecutor’s Office which, with the European Parliament’s approval expected before the summer break, should be finalised in October and up and running in 2020.
