Sefcovic reaffirms importance of Southern Gas Corridor and Azerbaijan's key role

European Commission Vice-President with responsibility for the Energy Union Maros Sefcovic, speaking at the 3rd meeting of the Southern Gas Advisory Council in Baku on Thursday 23 February, re-affirmed the “strategic importance” for the EU of this project which seeks to carry gas from the Caspian Sea through the Caucasus to the European market and the key role of Azerbaijan in it.
