Maltese Presidency of Council calls for LGBTIQ situation to be improved

The situation for lesbians, homosexuals, bisexuals, transgender, intersex and questioning (LGBTIQ) was at the heart of a conference organised by the Maltese Presidency on Thursday 23 February. The themes discussed included discrimination faced by these people in areas of education, healthcare and public security.

This conference was inaugurated on Wednesday at Valetta, which also provided an opportunity for the Transgender Europe (TGEU) organisation to present its catalogue of best practices...
